Jefferson City Police arrest stabbing suspect

Jefferson City police got a call around 11:43 p.m. Wednesday, reporting an open door and a woman lying in a pool of blood. The woman was taken to the hospital in Columbia because of the extent of her injuries.

Governor orders flags at half-staff for fallen trooper

ABC 17 News confirmed a trooper with the Missouri State Highway Patrol died in a car crash Friday morning in Audrain County near the Boone County line. Corporal Scott White told ABC 17 News the patrol car for Trooper James Bava, 25, was the only vehicle at the scene.
