Brittany joined the ABC 17 News team in February 2014. She's originally from St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to ABC 17 News she worked for a cable news station, HMTV6 in Hagerstown, Maryland as the Chief Meteorologist. Brittany has experience forecasting and covering east coast storms, including Superstorm Sandy in 2012.
Brittany earned her Master's in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from Saint Louis University in 2011, where her thesis studied cool season Severe Weather. Brittany is now eager to be forecasting back in the Midwest. In addition to her Master's, Brittany also has a Bachelor of Arts in Media and a minor in Physics from Drury University. Brittany has been a member of the National Weather Association since 2008, and in 2009 she presented her research at a conference held in Louisville Kentucky. Brittany is also a member of AMS (American Meteorological Society) and holds the AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal.
When Brittany is not forecasting she enjoys staying active, spending time with family and friends, and catching up on her reading.
