Barry Mangold

Barry Mangold joined the ABC 17 News team in June 2017 as a full-time reporter. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor's degree in Media Studies. While he is a long drive from his hometown, Rockville, Maryland, he is excited to be a part of Columbia's vibrant community.

Before coming to Missouri, Barry worked at Newsplex in Charlottesville, Virginia as an assistant to photographers, producers and reporters and interned at the Center for Media and Citizenship at UVA.  Before moving to Columbia, Barry was an avid swimmer and coached most summers before he graduated. He also participated in his school's Club Swim team. Outside of work, you can find him in the pool, reading a book, or most likely catching up on another TV show.

What Barry is most excited about is meeting new people and learning something new every day here at ABC 17.
