Lucas Geisler

Lucas Geisler anchors the 5 p.m. show for ABC 17 News, and reports on the latest news around mid-Missouri at 9 and 10 p.m. His coverage includes issues within the City of Columbia and the state's court system. Lucas has covered protests in Ferguson, Mo., sweeping changes at the University of Missouri and numerous issues people in mid-Missouri face everyday. 

Lucas started work at ABC 17 News in March 2014, after graduating from the University of Missouri's School of Journalism. While in school, Lucas spent countless hours baking bagels at B&B Bagels in Columbia, along with his work at KOMU-TV. 

Lucas hails from Granite City, Illinois, just east of St. Louis. He earned Eagle Scout from the local Boy Scouts of America council, and worked at Camp Sunnen in Potosi, Mo. for five years.

Lucas has a passion for hockey, especially the St. Louis Blues, and playing tennis.
