Marie Bowman joined the ABC 17 News team as the digital content director in August of 2016. She oversees all of the station's digital platforms, including online content and all affiliated social media accounts.

Marie graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in convergence journalism, an emphasis in multimedia producing and a minor in information technology. While working towards her degree, Marie participated in various campus organizations and spent most of her professional opportunities with nonprofits. She had the privilege to work for the Missouri Botanical Garden, the St. Thomas More Newman Center, 99.1 JOY! FM, BOOST 101.9, the MU Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders and the entrepreneurial branch of the college of engineering and MU Extension.

Marie was previously employed by Brighton Agency as an influencer engagement intern. By bringing her journalism skills to the table, she was able to lead her team through an entire social media campaign for a nonprofit. After learning a vast amount about the advertising world, Marie decided to go back to her news roots and became a member of the ABC 17 News management team.

Marie and her twin sister were born in Delaware. They are the oldest of four children and a very spoiled, yet adorable flat coat retriever named Libbie. After moving around much of North America for her father's job (Canada and Mexico included), Marie's family settled down in St. Louis, which is where she calls home.

When Marie isn't busy making sure that ABC 17 News' website is up and running, she is probably Snapchatting the on-air talent during their live shots, drinking copious amounts of coffee or singing her heart out at any local country concert.
