Taylor Petras

Taylor Petras joined the ABC 17 news team as a reporter in June 2015. In March 2016, she became the weekend evening anchor while still reporting three days a week for the late evening newscasts.

She graduated from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University where she worked as news reporter and anchor for the PBS affiliate WOUB Center for Public Media. Taylor spent her summer breaks interning at KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh and WPTV in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Taylor says her favorite part of being a journalist is learning something new each day and meeting new people.

When she’s not carrying around a camera and a tripod, you can find her working out at the gym or lounging around with a mystery fiction novel. Originally from the Pittsburgh area, she loves cheering on her favorite team, the Pirates. She also enjoys buying unnecessary toys for her cat, Charlie, and watching crime TV shows.
