ELLINGTON, Mo. (AP) — A 66-year-old eastern Missouri woman who had been reported missing is hospitalized with moderate injuries after being found in a wrecked car.

The Daily Journal newspaper in Park Hills, Missouri (http://bit.ly/1lkFojF ) reports that Dorothy Brooks of Ellington went missing Wednesday evening, prompting the Missouri State Highway Patrol to issue an endangered person advisory.

On Thursday, a deputy found Brooks' wrecked car some distance from a rural road in Reynolds County. It had struck a tree.

Brooks had been last seen on Wednesday afternoon in Carter County. Relatives became concerned when she did not return home.

Brooks was airlifted to a hospital in Cape Girardeau.
