An epic flub of the national anthem at a hockey game in Canada is going viral online.
Singer Alexis Normand is Canadian, so perhaps it's understandable that she's not very familiar with "The Star-Spangled Banner."
Performing at the 2013 Memorial Cup game in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Normand's rendition started and ended strongly but derailed somewhere in the middle and went spectacularly wrong.
The crowd groaned, but later came to Normand's rescue and helped her finish the rest of the song.
She later apologized, saying she had been asked to sing the anthem the morning before the game.
"I’m usually a quick study and I’ve been learning songs for a long time. I had learned all the lyrics, but nerves just got the best of me and I got really nervous and it all unwound from there," Normand told the Toronto Star.
