Ohio man proposes using jack-'o-lanterns
5 carved pumpkins spell out 'Will you marry me?'
An Ohio man got in the Halloween spirit when proposing to his girlfriend, spelling out "Will you marry me?" with carved jack-'o-lanterns.
Zack Stoddard of Dayton placed the five pumpkins strategically on the side of a hill to express his love and devotion to his girlfriend of three years, Lauren Brenneman, the Dayton Daily News reported.
When the moment was right, the pumpkins were uncovered and Stoddard popped the question.
Brenneman said "yes" to the roar of many in the crowd gathered for the first night of the annual Stoddard Avenue Pumpkin Glow.
Stoddard said he chose to propose on Halloween because it's his girlfriend's favorite holiday. She was also born in October, the Daily News reported.
"We’ve been here before and it has never been this crowded," Stoddard said. "I've been shaking the whole way walking up that hill."
