The Missouri Highway Patrol says two people have died after their SUV collided with a school bus about 50 miles east of Kansas City.
There were no immediate reports of injuries to students in Tuesday afternoon's crash on eastbound U.S. 50 near Warrensburg.
Aerial footage showed the bus off the pavement but upright and the damaged SUV just behind it. Authorities said the bus was carrying elementary and secondary school students from the Crest Ridge R-7 school district in Centerview.
WDAF-TV reports Dustin R. Frisbee, 34, of Knob Noster, Mo., and Andrew L. Horning, 20, of Leeton, Mo., were killed in the crash.
The patrol was investigating how the crash occurred.
