JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -

Police arrested a man last Thursday for allegedly breaking into a home in Jefferson City.

According to Capt. Doug Shoemaker, 36-year-old Antwain Stewart broke into an apartment in the 100 block of Ventura Avenue around 9:45 p.m. Thursday.

Police say Stewart then began to undress in front of a female resident. The resident confronted him with a knife and he fled the home.

Officers found Stewart a short distance later.

Stewart was arrested for first degree burglary and is currently in the Cole County Jail.
