Alleged bank robber escapes from police

Officers in Osage Beach found suspect at Wendy's

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. - A man wanted for robbing a bank near St. Louis escaped police in Osage Beach Friday morning.

On Thursday local officers got a heads up Matthew Holleran could be in Mid-Missouri, after hitting a bank in St. Charles, possibly driving in a gold Mercury Sable.

Osage Beach authorities saw the suspect vehicle Friday morning at a Wendy's. Holleran off on foot, but the passenger, Tara Grippe, was arrested on unrelated warrants.

Holleran is age 37, 5'5", approximately 160 pounds, with short, crew cut brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white v-neck t-shirt and dark-colored shorts and tennis shoes.
