Columbia business leaders expecting mail processing center to close
Columbia business leaders are not optimistic about the future of the city's mail processing center.
At a meeting Wednesday, members of the Regional Economic Development Board said they expect the United States Postal Service to shut down the processing facility.
If that happens, all mail would be processed in St. Louis, potentially delaying mail delivery around Columbia.
The postal service calls the proposed shutdown a cost-cutting move.
