Police said during the call, Gross tampered with the victim by using deception and attempts to dissuade the victim from making a report.

Gross also attempted to dissuade the victim from filing a complaint or providing information for possible prosecution.

Gross was arrested on Wednesday on possible charges of felony tampering with a victim.

ORIGINAL STORY:Davion Gross was charged with sodomy, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and kidnapping after Columbia police arrested him on Monday for holding a woman against her will and forcing her to perform sexual acts on him.

According to the probable cause statement, Gross and the victim were sitting in her car having a conversation when Gross began to get aggressive in a sexual manner.

Police said the victim resisted Gross' advances but he got forceful with her and pulled her on top of him.

At that point, Gross struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and then punched her in the arm, police said.
