Columbia police arrest two after a charter worth over $100,000 reported stolen

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Columbia police arrested Nicholas Barrett and Keegan Kennedy after officers were called to a burglary in the 400 block of Kentucky Boulevard. 

Police said the general manager reported that a 100 year-old charter and two other pictures had been stolen. 

Officers said the manager believed the charter was worth over $100,000. 

The manager told police whoever had stolen the charter brought it back to the president. 

Officers talked with the president and reviewed surveillance footage. 

Police said they saw Barrett and Kennedy taking down the pictures in the footage. 

Officers said the president contacted Kenney once he knew they stole the items and Kennedy brought back the charter. 

Barrett was arrested and faces possible charges of burglary and stealing. 

Kennedy was arrested and faces possible charges of burglary and stealing.
