Public Works officials say the line was not in the proper location

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Crews repaired a gas line that was ruptured during construction on Stadium Boulevard.

Around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, the Columbia Fire Department was called to the intersection of Stadium and Broadway for a report of broken gas line.

According to Columbia Public Works spokesperson Steve Sapp, crews hit a two-inch gas line while doing construction for the Stadium Boulevard and I-70 diamond interchange project.
