Crews respond to crash on Hwy 63 near Hartsburg

Collision affecting southbound traffic

HARTSBURG, Mo. - UPDATE 12 pm: According to the traffic crash report, the crash happened when a Chevrolet Malibu struck the rear of a Subaru Crosstrek. 

The Subaru traveled off the right side of the highway, struck a road sign and overturned, troopers said. 

The driver of the Chevrolet had minor injuries and refused medical treatment. The car had moderate damage.

UPDATE - 8:30 A.M.: Emergency crews cleared the scene of the crash on Highway 63 near Hartsburg.

ORIGINAL: Crews from Southern Boone County Fire Protection District, University Hospital Ambulance Service and Boone Hospital Center Ambulance were dispatched to southbound Hwy 63 near Westbrook Dr. Wednesday morning for a reported car crash.

Early reports indicate the crash is causing heavy traffic delays and that one lane was shut down as a result.

ABC 17 News has a crew headed to the scene that will work to learn how many cars were involved and if any injuries occurred.
