Three others arrested in connection with October murder of Satina Beckner

3 arrested in connection with October 2012 murder

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol has pieced together three others involved in the killing of Satina Beckner.

Bryant Holmes, Jr. was the first one charged in the murder.  He was arrested just a few days after the homicide on Oct. 8, and charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Kelli Modock, Parish Walker, and Charles McCoy were all charged with tampering with physical evidence in the case

Police said they discovered Modock was involved when they stopped Holmes in her car during a traffic stop, just after the killing happened.

They traced the car to Modock's house, where they questioned her.  She denied knowing Holmes, even though he was inside her home at the time.

She later admitted to police that she helped Holmes burn Beckner's purse in a grill and watched him throw a hammer and screwdriver into a lake more than 30 miles away from her body.

Court documents revealed the hammer and screwdriver as the murder weapons.

Parish Walker was seen with Holmes earlier in the day of the killing, so he was brought in for questioning.

During the questioning, he told police a man named Charles McCoy had the victim's phone.  He also said that he and McCoy both deleted messages off Beckner's phone.

The three suspects are facing up to seven years behind bars for each count.
