Police investigate sexual assault near campus

Student claims she was assaulted at a fraternity house in November

COLUMBIA, Mo. - A University of Missouri student claims she was sexually assaulted at a fraternity house.

On Monday, MU police were called to pick up a rape kit at University Hospital.  A report with the kit states the incident happened in a fraternity bedroom. The name of the fraternity was not listed.

MU police have turned the kit over to the Columbia Police Department, since the alleged assault happened in their jurisdiction.

At the time, the victim has decided she does not want to be contacted by police.
