Robbery at Columbia Walmart under investigation

Suspect told cashier he had a weapon, but did not show it

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Police are investigating a robbery at Walmart on Conley Road.

Around 1:20 a.m. Saturday morning, Columbia police were called to the Walmart for a report of a robbery.

Investigators say a black male entered the store and demanded money from a cashier. Police say the suspect implied he had a weapon but did not show it.

The suspect fled the scene in a silver car with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 30 and 40 years old, 5'6" tall, heavy build and last seen wearing all red clothing.
