STURGEON, Mo. - UPDATE (5:35 p.m.): Assistant Fire Chief Gale Blomenkamp with the Boone County Fire Protection District confirmed that no one was in the house when the arrived, and no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. It was centered in the attic of the home, forcing fire fighters to enter through the roof and windows.

ORIGINAL: Boone County firefighters are working to put out a house fire in the 200 block of East Davis Street in Sturgeon.

Firefighters were called to the home just before 2 p.m. Sunday.
