Jefferson City woman charged, accused of living in vacant home, attempting to use stolen checkbook

COLE COUNTY, Mo. - Jefferson City police arrested Erica Fletcher after she was found to be living in a vacant home.

According to the probable cause statement, officers investigated a report of forgery at a Family Dollar Store.

The store believed Fletcher was attempting to make a purchase using a stolen checkbook and driver's license.

Officers said when they found Fletcher, she gave consent for officers to search her purse.

Police said they found a checkbook, expired Missouri ID and other items belonging to Stacie Bosche, the deceased resident of 314 Case.

Officers had previously responded to Case Ave.  for a report of a person entering the vacant home.

Police said they found Brianna Nixon inside the home and arrested her for trespassing.

When police found Fletcher, she admitted to entering the residence with Nixon and removing multiple items belonging to Bosche.

Officers said Fletcher had keys to the house and admitted to returning on a few occasions.
