Man charged with running from officers after Jefferson City shooting

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - A man has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and resisting arrest after he was accused from running from police in December.

According to the probable cause statement, police were dispatched to the 600 block of East Capitol Drive in reference to a weapons offense on Dec. 16.

Police said that the occupants of two vehicles were shooting at one another in the area.

Officers made contact with one of the suspect vehicles.
