Man robs Landmark Bank in Columbia

Suspect handed note to teller, then fled with cash

COLUMBIA, Mo. -

Columbia police are looking for the man suspected of robbing the Landmark Bank on Ash Street and Stadium Boulevard just after 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Police confirm the suspect handed the teller a note and demanded money. No weapon was used. He then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

On Monday afternoon, police were searching local restaurants and apartment complexes for the suspect, but did not find him.

The FBI is now involved in the investigation, as is customary for bank robberies.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5 foot 11 inches, 160 pounds, wearing a gray T-shirt, green hat, sunglasses and blue jeans.
