New Franklin boil order lifted Saturday

Major water leak cut water supplies

NEW FRANKLIN, Mo. - A boil order for New Franklin was lifted early Saturday morning, according to city administrator Patricia Cunningham.

City officials in New Franklin issued a boil order for residents just before 9p.m. Thursday.

A major water leak happened that afternoon cutting water supplies.

Repairs were underway Thursday and water was slowly returning, but officials didn't believe it would be fully restored until Friday morning.

The boil order lasted for 48 hours once water was turned back on.
