Police arrest man accused of trying to get credit with fake identity

AUDRAIN COUNTY, Mo. - Mexico police arrested Edward Smith, 46, on Thursday afternoon after officers were dispatched to a business in the 500 block of West Jackson for reports of suspicious activity.

Police said Smith had gone into the business and presented fake identification documents in an effort to get credit. An employee noticed something was wrong and called officers.
