JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Jefferson City police arrested Trenise Boston after officers responded to the Furniture Factory Outlet in the 2000 block of Missouri Boulevard in reference to a fraudulent purchase.
According to the probable cause statement, Boston made a fraudulent purchase at the outlet store totaling $8769.42.
A witness told officers that he was made aware of similar fraudulent purchases in Sedalia and Warrensburg.
Boston was accused of fraudulently purchasing $18,000 from the Sedalia Furniture Factory Outlet.
The witness also told police that while they were loading furniture in Boston's U-Haul, he saw the stolen merchandise from Sedalia and seized it.
Police said Boston had provided fake names to officers and all three FFO locations.
Officers said Boston was identified by her fingerprints and had a warrant for her arrest in Arkansas.
Police said they found 43 Visa prepaid cards on Boston. Most of the cards on her had approximate spending limits of $25-$50 but there were also cards that did not have a maximum spending limit.
Boston admitted to officers she had no intention of legally paying for the card balance.
Officers seized Boston's U-Haul and found marijuana and a bag of pills, which were believed to be Ecstasy.
Boston was charged with fraudulent use of a credit or debit device, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
