Police, SWAT execute search warrants...

COLUMBIA, Mo - UPDATE 2:45 p.m.: According to police, there were five people total detained after Friday morning's search of a central Columbia home.

The SWAT team and the Vice Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit responded and executed two search warrants at 309 W. Worley Street in Apartment A and C. The B apartment was not involved.

The investigation is ongoing pending lab results.

ABC17 News is working on obtaining the search warrant, but it is confidential until police submit a list of items found in the house to the Boone County court or 10 days have passed.

UPDATE 7:11am: Police confirm they executed a search warrant on West Worley at 6:35 Friday morning.

Officers say they have detained three people and say they are now searching a home in the area for possible drugs or weapons.

It's unclear right now what led up to the search warrant. However, ABC 17 News reported on a shooting Sunday that happened at the same address as Friday's search warrant.

In that incident, officers were dispatched to a verbal disturbance involving gunshots in the 300 block of W. Worley Street.

They discovered several shell casings in the driveway at 309 W. Worley Street. There were no reports of injuries, and officers did not locate any damage to property.

ABC 17 News is working to find out if this morning's search warrant is connected to Sunday's shooting. We'll update this story as we find out more.
