Rain causes flooding in Moberly, MoDOT monitoring mid-Missouri areas susceptible to flooding

MOBERLY, Mo. - Crews are cleaning up after roads were flooded here in Moberly on Monday.

ABC 17 spoke to the Moberly Fire Chief, who said they responded to five or six calls of people stranded in their vehicles, but there were no injuries.

ABC 17 also spoke with MoDOT, who said, "So as the rain continues, we're going to be monitoring those locations so that way if those roads do start to go under water, we will go ahead and get those barricaded detours in place, whatever the case may be."

MoDOT said in mid-Missouri, they know where flooding could begin and will be monitoring those areas.
