The shooter who gunned down and killed 17-year-old Treveon Marshall in McKee Street Park on July 14th remains on the loose.
Right now, police still lack a motive. But they told ABC 17 News they're doing everything they can.
"We're still working on leads and working toward getting a suspect and getting the suspect arrested," Officer Joe Bernhard with the Columbia Police Department said.
Police have served at least two search warrants in relation to Marshall's death, but so far they haven't led to the person who pulled the trigger.
The lack of closure and the unanswered questions has left the Marshall family upset and grieving.
Bernhard said he wants the Marshall family to know one thing.
"Everyday, there's a detective following up on leads," he said.
Erin Monroe, Treveon Marshall's girlfriend said she knows justice will be served and hopes it will be sooner rather than later.
