A 17-year-old boy is in the hospital after an accident at the Lake of the Ozarks earlier Saturday afternoon.
It happened around 1:00 at the 11 mile marker near Sunrise Beach.
Missouri Water Patrol officials say the boy, John Overbey, was jumping waves on his waverunner, when he ran into the path of another boat.
We're told the boat was going at an excessive speed when it hit Overbey.
He was taken to Lake Regional Hospital with moderate injuries, but the driver of the boat was not injured.
