A developing story as a mid-Missouri man is facing second-degree murder charges after he admits to shooting another man to death.
Witnesses say James Wager shot and killed Nathan Walker during a dispute yesterday afternoon in the Ivy Bend area of Morgan County.
James Wager claims some friends had been burglarized and he felt the victim was involved, so he drove to walker's home. The victim apparently confronted Wager and noticed a gun on the front seat of the car. There was a scuffle and that's when Wager allegedly opened fire, killing Walker.
The victim's family members now find themselves searching for closure.
"I just really hope Miller County does something about this. And stop all this stupid stuff. Life's too short," said Connie Walker, the victim's stepmother.
Following the incident, Wager called police and admitted to the shooting. He then turned himself in.
Right now wager is being held at the Morgan County jail awaiting finalization of the pending charges. There are no other suspects in the case.
