The Missouri Department of Transportation is completing a project tomorrow that took nearly two years and $25 million to finish.
A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for tomorrow night on Route 50, from Route K to just west of California. Mo-DOT believes the eight-mile project will improve traffic flow and safety. More than 10 thousand motorists will use the new highway.
This is phase two of the project. Mo-DOT completed the first phase in 2008, constructing 11 miles of four-lane highway from St. Martins in Cole County, to Route K in Montieau County.
