Three children were taken to University Hospital after a crash involving three cars and nine people at the intersection of College and Locust about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Two of the three kids have life-threatening injuries and the third had minor injuries, according to the Columbia Fire Dept.  No one else was hurt.

Officials say one car was on College but had to swerve when another car turned onto College from Locust.  The two crashed, then hit a third car.
