COLUMBIA, Mo. - Two people have been charged with forgery and possession of a forgery instrument after Columbia police found more than 200 cloned credit and debit cards in a truck.
According to court documents, Yaneisis Hernandez-Romero and Lazaro Fernandez-Iglesias were arrested on March 3 after officers found the couple to be in possession of 11 cloned credit and debit cards at the Walmart on Conley Road.
Police said they served a search warrant on a Ford F-150 believed to be associated with the two. Officers found 206 cloned credit and debit cards. The magnetic strips of the cards had been over-written with the credit and debit card information of other individuals.
Officers said they also found a computer, a card scanning device, cables believed to be associated with a card skimming device and numerous other gift cards which had yet to be cloned.
According to the court documents, the two are suspects in four other forgery investigations.
