Two taken to hospital after crash on Highway 63

Pickup truck was trying to make three-point turn in northbound lanes

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Two people were rushed to University Hospital early Friday morning after a crash on Highway 63 near Dripping Springs Road, north of Columbia.

23-year-old Alexander Wiesner of Ashland suffered serious injuries.

Mallory Embree, 22, of Sturgeon was driving northbound on Highway 63 when her car hit the towed unit of a pickup truck.

Troopers said the truck was trying to execute a three-point turn in the northbound lanes of the highway. No one inside the truck was treated for injuries.
