COLUMBIA, Mo. -

Columbia police were looking for a vehicle of interest Monday evening after reports of shots being fired on Diego Court in south Columbia.

Witnesses told police a white Chevy Monte Carlo pulled out of the cul-de-sac after reportedly firing four to five shots into the air around 3:30 p.m.

At the scene, officers told ABC 17 News there was no physical evidence of a shooting. Officer John Hoff said investigators had not found shell casings or bullet holes and witness had only heard the gunfire.

The investigation Monday afternoon centered around 8 Diego Ct. Officers and Boone County Sheriff's deputies interviewed several witnesses at the scene.
