Victim reimbursed thousands of dollars after getting scammed by Cole County contractor

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - One victim was reimbursed thousands of dollars by the Attorney General's office after getting scammed by a Cole County contractor. 

ABC17 previously reported that Ken Jinson was accused of stealing a total of $22,000 from four customers in Cole County.

Douglas Bledsoe, the victim, had paid Jinson to build a shed and refinish his basement to give his daughter and niece a space to live, but that never happened.

Bledsoe previously told ABC17 crews, "I'm trying to survive every day and try to still get things done for my family that I was supposed to have done with that money. Like my daughter and niece have a--they bought these two buildings here and making payments on them now. And we're trying to fix them up as we go for a place for them to stay."

On Friday, Bledsoe said, "This is a miracle to me, I thought I would never get the money back."
