Oregon State fired coach Craig Robinson on Sunday night, according to multiple reports.
Robinson went 93-104 in six seasons without making an NCAA Tournament. He still had three years left on his contract. The school still owes him more than $4 million.
The timing of the move is odd, considering it occurred six weeks after the season ended.
Robinson, who is president Barack Obama's brother-in-law, and his coaching staff were out on a recruiting trip last week.
Maryland transfer Nick Faust committed to Oregon State last week. However, the team has no returners for next season as power forward/center Eric Moreland and guard Challe Barton are looking to turn pro and guard Hallice Cooke intends to transfer.
