The Detroit Red Wings re-signed veteran right winger Daniel Cleary to a one-year contract on Thursday.

The deal is worth $1.5 million with a $1 million bonus for games played, according to TSN.

Cleary, 35, played in 52 games last season for the Red Wings and had eight points. The former first-round draft pick has 385 points in 921 career games in the NHL with the Chicago Blackhawks, Edmonton Oilers, Arizona Coyotes and Red Wings.

Last summer, Cleary was set to leave the Red Wings for the Philadelphia Flyers but changed his mind and remained with Detroit.
