KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- First baseman Carlos Santana completed a huge series, homering twice and driving in four runs as the Cleveland Indians routed the Kansas City Royals 10-3 Sunday to prevent a four-game sweep.

Santana hit .643 (9-for-14) with five home runs and eight RBIs in the series at Kauffman Stadium. He had a 1.155 slugging percentage in the four games.

Santana hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning Sunday and another two-run shot in the ninth, upping his season home run count to 20.

Left fielder Ryan Raburn and designated hitter Yan Gomes also went deep for the Indians.
