Blue Jays 5, Yankees 4

NEW YORK -- Dioner Navarro hit a tiebreaking single with two outs in the top of the ninth inning for Toronto.

The Blue Jays won for the seventh time in 10 games despite blowing a 2-0 lead and a pair of one-run leads. They manufactured the go-ahead run in the ninth against New York closer David Robertson (1-3).

Rookie Aaron Sanchez (1-0) picked up the win despite allowing a game-tying single to designated hitter Carlos Beltran in the eighth. He kept the game tied by getting first baseman Brian McCann to ground out into a defensive shift.
