Pat Ivey's impact on the program goes far beyond the weight room

COLUMBIA, Mo. -

Mizzou practiced in full pads for the first time this fall, Monday morning, and what he saw on the field pleased head coach Gary Pinkel he told the media after the session.

Assistant coaches were the only members of the program made available for comment after Monday's practice, and one of the more intriguing topics of discussion had to do with one of their colleagues: strength and conditioning coach Pat Ivey. 

Ivey is a former Mizzou player (defensive end from 1993-95), who graduated in 1995 as one of the strongest players in the history of the program.
