Warming Trend Through This Weekend

TODAY:  We will see a batch of light snow transitioning to rain moving through the area this morning as temperatures rise back above freezing. There could be some slick spots as you head out this morning especially on bridges and overpasses before we get back above freezing. This system will be out of here in the early afternoon hours and clouds will begin to dissipate with highs topping out in the upper 40s to low 50s. Winds will be breezy at times throughout the afternoon as they shift to a more westerly direction. Some gusts could reach 20 mph.

TONIGHT: Skies will continue to clear as we head into the overnight hours. Temperatures will drop into the upper 20s to low 30s as the winds relax a bit tonight.

EXTENDED: Sunday continues to be the best-looking day to get outside this weekend. We will see mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 60s. Winds will increase in speed on Sunday with southerly winds gusting to 25 mph at times. More widespread rain will move in late Sunday night into Monday with temperatures warming into the lower 70s on Monday. Could hear some rumbles of thunder with this initial round, but nothing severe. We'll have periods of rain continuing through Tuesday and colder air moves in for the middle of this week with highs only reaching the middle to upper 30s Wednesday.
