Unsettled weather continues as we head into the weekend with temperatures dropping into the 60s at night and in the upper 70s to near 80 during the day. Friday looks mostly dry with only a slight chance of a shower or t-storm in the afternoon and early evening. No severe weather is expected.

Friday night, a complex of storms is expected to develop in Kansas and move east into Missouri early Saturday morning. These storms could be strong as they move in with the primary threats strong, gusty winds and heavy rain.  A series of upper level disturbances will move across the area Saturday, keeping our chance of storms going into the afternoon and evening. Rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible where strongest storms move through.

Storms will end in the evening with quiet weather overnight and through most of the day Sunday. However, more storms are possible late Sunday afternoon and Sunday night as another upper level wave moves through the area.
