A look at the April almanac for Columbia
Despite a chilly start to the month, April typically begins with highs in the low 60s and ends with an average high closer to 70 degrees. By the end of month, low temperatures will normally be in the upper 40s.
April is typically one of the rainiest months in Mid-Missouri on average, as we pick up nearly 4.5 inches of rain for the month. Light snow is still a possibility in April, as Columbia on average records about 0.2 inches for the month.
As the days continue to get longer, Mid-Missouri gains about 70 minutes of daylight over the course of the month.
