Cloud cover will slowly begin to move east Friday evening, leading to mainly clear skies overnight, especially south of I-70. Under mostly clear skies, temperatures will fall to near or just below freezing. The cold temperatures, combined with lighter west winds, will cause frost to develop early Saturday.

A Frost Advisory is in effect for counties along and south of HWY 50 from Saturday 1-8 a.m. where widespread frost is likely. Patchy frost will be possible farther to the north, where clouds will be slower to clear.

Any plants that are sensitive to the cold weather or frost should be covered or brought inside.
