Beautiful, tranquil weather will persist across Mid-Missouri Wednesday and Thursday as high pressure holds over the Midwest.
Sinking air will keep light winds Wednesday and Thursday and mostly sunny skies during the day, and mostly clear at night.
Clouds begin to build in advance of a warm front moving lifting into Missouri early Friday from the southwest. This front will bring our next chance of rain, along with a more warm, humid air mass. The heat index will creep into the middle to upper 90s over the weekend.
Weekend rain chances will be heat-of-the-day, spotty showers and t-storms. Our next stronger system comes early next week, which will cool our temperatures to below average by mid-week.
