Due to a lack of rainfall for the area, much of Mid-Missouri is now considered abnormally dry, which is the first level of drought. Additionally, most of northwest Missouri is now in moderate drought.

Nearly 60% of the state is considered abnormally dry, which is more than double the area from last week. Also, 13% of the state is now at moderate drought, up from 0% last week.

Only 4.13" of rain has fallen since June 1, which is only 52% of normal.
