Monday's Severe Weather Recap

Storm Reports From 5-20

Severe t-storms slammed Mid-Missouri Monday afternoon and evening with hail and damaging winds. The storms flared up around 5 p.m. and continued through 10 p.m.

Large hail was reported in Boone, Maries, Miller, Randolph and Monroe counties.

Wind damage was reported in Moniteau, Morgan, Camden and Pettis counties.

A possible tornado was reported in La Monte (Pettis Co.). The National Weather Service may conduct a damage survey to determine if a tornado actually touched down.

Earlier in the day, an EF-4 (possibly EF-5) tornado destroyed much of Moore, Ok (suburb south of Oklahoma City), causing dozens of deaths. The tornado was at least a mile wide and was on the ground for nearly 40 minutes.
